"Do your tattoo cover-up kits really work?"

"Do your tattoo cover-up kits really work?"

I kid you not. That was the first line in the email, I received from a wedding site yesterday.

After I threw a tantrum at the audacity (AUDACITY..I say) that someone would suggest they didn't, I responded (as if I was a grown-up) and said in my Inside Voice:

"Yes! Indeed they do. Want me to prove it?"

After a bit of to-ing and fro-ing, they have agreed to an article I am going to write for them called...you guessed it:

"Do Tattoo cover-up kits really work?"

So... here's where you come in...

I am looking for 3 people who have a reason to cover up their tattoos. Maybe you have a wedding coming up. Maybe your reason is a job interview. Maybe it is another reason altogether.

If you are selected, I'll send you out 3 different kits in your skin tone. These will be free for you.

One will be our tattoo cover-up.

The other two will be a selection of other tattoo cover-up kits.  I would like you to do your own, honest reviews (with photos which don't have to be amazing - real is good) which I can use in the article. As you know if you have been following along on my journey for a while, I have already done my own tests and came to the concluding that our tattoo makeup concealer stands head and shoulders over the rest, but I'd be interested to hear your thoughts as well.

As you can guess, as a small business owner - this is a pretty big deal for me - and I'm pretty excited.

If you are interested, please send me an email at tattoomakeupconcealer@gmail.com and I'll get back to you as soon as I can.

Here's a bit of backstory about this very same website - a story which I think illustrates how tattoo cover-ups are becoming much more popular.

Here's the story from the original blog.

As some of you may know, one of the most popular uses for tattoo makeup concealer is for weddings. Last week, I reached out to a well-known bridal magazine, asking them if I could do a guest post to discuss the best ways to cover up a tattoo for a wedding.

Their response took me by surprise. "We don't think our readers would be interested in this product. They are proud of their tattoos and would not want to hide them."

For a brief minute, I felt terrible. As if by selling the best tattoo concealer in Australia, I was somehow compromising the integrity of tattoos as a whole (okay..so I do have a tendency to take these things very personally).

And then I thought about all the reasons (that I know of) that people have bought products off me.

In my experience, things are very rarely as binary as good and bad or black and white. Tattoos are exactly the same.

it's not as though tattoos are bad and need to be concealed.

It is, in fact, the opposite of that. Tattoos are excellent, but sometimes they don't work for some specific occasions. Here are some of the reasons that people have bought tattoo concealer.

1. For wedding dresses. This one is kinda obvious. I often hear some version of the following "I love my tattoo, but it just doesn't work with my wedding dress."

2. For job interviews. This is a big deal. You want the job, but you don't know the culture. It is safer to test the waters and check it out safely
